News on the new LMC single - its a version of the New Radical`s hit You Get What You Give - a long time in the clearing but some of you may have heard an erroneous copy doing the rounds a few months ago - now its getting a full release with Rachel McFarlane back providing the vocals.

It's nigh on 2 years since Take Me To The Clouds Above went to number one so they haven't been rushing but what they have done is come up with another quality piece of dance music - with mixes from Raul Rincon, Red Kult and Riffs & Rays amongst others - this looks like another biggie for LMC

LMC v U2

• After providing remixes for many hit records over the past 2 years (including Scooter, Lasgo, Flip & Fill, Robert Palmer) LMC finally released their debut single Take Me To The Clouds Above on Jan 26 2004.
  
  LMC comprise three producers, Lee Monteverde, Matt Cadman and Cris Nuttall and they have teamed up with one of the world's biggest bands, U2 and the fantastic vocalist Rachel McFarlane. A promo-only track by LMC, Everything U Need reached top 10 in the club chart last year.
  
  Rachel was the vocalist for Loveland who secured six hits in the mid-90s. She was also the vocalist on N-Trances first top 20 single, Turn Up The Power, back in 1994.
  
  She had a solo deal in the late 1990s and had a hit with Lover in 1998, which was famously bootlegged with Paul Van Dyk's For an Angel track and remains a huge club favourite to this day.
  
  Since then she has been appearing in West End musicals before returning to recording work with LMC. Rachel is also working on solo material which will be released later in the year.
  
  All four members of U2 had to agree to the usage of the sample from their classic, With or Without You and this was added to lyrics from How Will I Know made a hit by Whitney Houston to make the track Take Me To The Clouds Above.
  
  There have been a few similar bootlegs around over the past year or so but LMC provide the only official version. Mixes on the package include versions from The Mash Up Kids, Lee S and Flip & Fill.
  
  The single went on to spend two weeks at number one and has proved to be one of the biggest dance tracks of the past few years
