Cascada Perfect Day Tour

After touring the UK last year following the massive success of their debut album Everytime We Touch and appearing as the headline act at Clubland Live earlier this year, Cascada have returned for another UK tour featuring all the hits from the Platinum selling Perfect Day album.
We went along to the Manchester leg of the tour at the sell out Manchester Apollo gig last night. The night kicked off with performances from the support acts. Atlanta, Vogue Guru Josh and Ironik took to the stage first and then Frisco and MC Domino upped the tempo with a DJ & MC set.
Then everything went dark and after some rumbling film intro type noises rumbled through the subs Drum Connection, a new feature of the Cascada set, emerged onto the stage and, well, drummed for a few minutes. Natalie then appeared with her dancers and kicked off her set with Miracle. A myriad of hits then followed before a mid-set interlude featuring a performance of the candlelight version of Everytime We Touch took the tempo down a notch. The second half of the set featured more massive tracks with a Everytime We Touch being a particular highlight as always. After departing the stage to the crowd chanting 'we want more', Natalie reappeared to give a massive encore performance of What Hurts The Most.
All in all a top night that the audience seemed to love - nice to see loads of people getting into the Halloween spirit too, lots of outfits on show though we weren't quite sure what all the dayglo knee length socks were about? There's some pictures of the performance in the gallery below and there was a film crew lurking around as well so there may be some video footage available of the concert at some point in the near future. Next stop on the tour blog will be Clubland Live 2 - not long to go now!
