So, Glasgow. Last year the gig at the SECC was one of the best gigs on the tour with a crowd that can only be described as insane with a totally electric atmosphere and last night the gig lived up to its reputation as one of the tour highlights.
Not to be outdone by Aberdeen the Glasgow crowd lapped up track after track, thronged the DJ stand during the sets by Alex K, Frisco and Breeze and generally went nuts every time a riff kicked in or someone picked up a mic.
The outfits were a similar mixture as the night before - street wear, club wear and a smattering of people who either missed their calling as extras in Altern-8 videos or watch too much CSI. The barrage of glowsticks flying towards the stage was taken to a whole new level as well but all things said and done the atmosphere was amazing, from the seats at the back to the pit wall at the front, from kids with their parents to groups of teenagers and twenty somethings, the whole placed bounced along as one for three hours from start to finish.
A new feature to the tour began last night too and shall officially be known from now on as Styles Mania. Darren popped out to the front of house stage to watch a bit of the Scooter set but a couple of the fans around the stage wall noticed the new arrival and the reaction on their faces was one of sheer disbelief and amazement as they realised it was Darren Styles, in the flesh, 3 feet away from them. Arm waving, screams, desperate attempts to pull Darren into the crowd and pretty much everything but fainting followed with a period of insane hysteria as Darren got mobbed at every point on the stage wall, having his picture taken, signing autographs, shaking hands and generally making quite a few peoples nights. Great fun, but sheer madness and full credit to Darren for taking the time to make sure everyone got their picture - not many people show their fans that sort of appreciation.
Today we've driven down the M74 and crossed the border and are back in England and after a short trip across the pennies down the A69 we arrived at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle earlier this afternoon and it wasn't long before the hotdog stands and punters started gathering outside the Arena ready for tonight's show.
The pictures from last night are below and as we did for Aberdeen, if you've got any pictures of your own that you'd like us to feature on the site send them in and we'll feature the best ones in a punters gallery for each venue. We've got a day off touring tomorrow so we'll be back in the office and all the pictures from Newcastle will be online at some point during the day.
And finally, todays fun fact is the average tour temperature so far which stands at a chilltastic -2.5 degrees. Here's hoping that the journey south will take us to warmer climbs! Top marks to those of you who've braved the elements in the some of the more unconventional outfits we've seen so far.
Next stop - Newcastle.
